About Ken Hoppen Photography

Ken has been a full-time underwater photographer for over twenty years. During that time he has travelled extensively around Australia, Asia, the South Pacific and the Indian Ocean. He has been a runner up in the BBC Wildlife Photographer of the year in the portrait section, and has had travel, diving and creature articles published all over the world.  Ken lives in Melbourne, in the southern Australian state of Victoria.

Ken has written and had published hundreds of articles. He was a columnist in Sportdiving and Australasian Dive Log Magazines for around twenty years where he not only had regular articles, but contributed the Creature Feature articles in Sportdiving and the South-East Experience column in Dive Log. He is still a regular contributor to the online version of Dive Log. He has been published in many other magazines, including Scuba Diver, Tauchen, Action Asia, and Asian Diver.

For over fifteen years Ken and his wife Conny have been guiding tours to destinations in the South Pacific, Asia, Micronesia and the Indian Ocean. These trips are open to divers, snorkelers and non-divers. Partnering with Allways Dive Expeditions we offer different trips each year.
